As a Director within the Canada ICI Toronto office Megan brings the expertise to work alongside clients and lenders to underwrite, structure, and fund commercial mortgages. Megan has performed various roles in the real estate lending sector over the past 15+ years and is well positioned to execute on numerous debt capital transactions through the utilization of her well rounded background.
Prior to joining Canada ICI Capital in 2019, Megan adjudicated CMHC loans and structured conventional and more complex transactions for larger institutional clients, leveraging experience from previous positions with major MIC and CMBS lenders. Through close working relationships, Megan will ensure a smooth transaction while defending the interests of her clients.
I joined CICI because I was able to bring the expertise of working alongside clients and lenders to underwrite, structure and finance commercial mortgages with a dynamic team, while reinforcing my knowledge of construction/land.
The company gave me the opportunity to join a dynamic organization where I could put my experience in term loans to good use and evolve in the field of construction/land financing.
Prior to joining CICI, I was responsible for the adjudication of CMHC loans and the structuring of conventional and more complex CMHC transactions for larger institutional clients, building on experience gained in previous positions with large MIC and CMBS lenders.
What I like most about working at CICI is the sense of camaraderie in all the offices and the encouragement and support to think outside the box.
I believe the keys to success are communication, understanding and honesty, with the ability to do several things at once on several . Not only does this result in having a client who appreciates a particular transaction, but it also fosters long-term professional relationships, which is the ultimate key to success.
I like working in commercial real estate finance because each loan is unique, providing a fast-paced work environment with no two days the same. You are always learning!
