Every market needs leaders who help others succeed. After building billion-dollar platforms and mentoring future industry talent, Graham Collings joins Canada ICI to help clients and partners across British Columbia move confidently through an ever-evolving market.

British Columbia is always evolving. It’s a province full of people creating value — businesses, buildings, communities. That constant motion is what excites me.

– G. Collings

For Graham, building value has always been the throughline. He was mentored by one of Vancouver’s most respected investment leaders early in his career at Colliers International, where he closed more than $2.7 billion in transactions in just over three years.

His passion for the industry is evident in his founding of Vancouver’s Young Urban Professionals in Real Estate (YUPRE) and his recent tenure as President of the Mortgage Investment Association of BC, a 108-year-old group that connects the province’s mortgage industry.

That experience set the tone for a career defined by precision, perseverance, and people-first leadership with an eye set on building community.

He joined ACM Advisors during a period of transformation, helping to launch a mutual fund amid the global financial crisis — a product that has since grown to over $4.7 billion in assets under management.

Over the 18 years, Collings played a pivotal role in scaling ACM from a regional firm into a national platform, expanding into Toronto and Montréal, and overseeing the Montréal market from Vancouver to ensure strategic alignment before entry.

As Executive Vice President, Investments, Graham contributed to growing total AUM to nearly $5 billion and positioned the firm for its 2023 acquisition by EQB Inc. This highly successful exit underscored ACM’s strength and stability.

At ACM, we had a startup mindset with institutional discipline. That balance—entrepreneurial drive backed by a strong platform—is exactly what drew me to Canada ICI. The potential here in British Columbia is extraordinary.

– G. Collings

Though his title reads Managing Director, Graham’s philosophy is rooted in leadership rather than management.

A manager is someone people are required to follow. A leader is someone people choose to follow. My role is to build an environment where talented people can thrive and choose to be part of something bigger.

– G. Collings

Outside of work, Graham spends weekends coaching youth soccer — and he’s quick to draw parallels between the field and the office. Both, he says, demand trust, accountability, and teamwork: “High-performing teams are built on shared purpose. You win together.”

Born and raised in Vancouver, Graham’s understanding of the market runs deep. He speaks about its many subcultures with the ease of someone who’s lived them. Whether it’s the Okanagan, the Island or the North Shore, Collings sees each as an interconnected whole that plays a role in the province’s story of growth and prosperity.

Commercial real estate is ultimately about people. You need to understand why they live where they live, why they work and shop the way they do. The most successful organizations are the ones truly connected to the communities they serve.

– G. Collings

That “boots on the ground” insight, combined with Canada ICI’s national volume and insight, forms what Graham sees as the firm’s defining advantage — a platform that’s both deeply human and strategically informed.

As Managing Director of Canada ICI’s BC offices, Graham will lead a growing team focused on expanding the firm’s presence across British Columbia, while collaborating nationally on origination and advisory initiatives. His appointment underscores Canada ICI’s deep commitment to British Columbia — a significant investment in the province’s future and a clear statement that this dynamic, entrepreneurial market is a priority for the firm.

Every conversation I’ve had with the team reinforces that this company wins by listening, learning, and executing. My goal is to build on that foundation — to help shape a platform that continues to empower our clients, our lenders, and our people.

– G. Collings

Graham’s appointment embodies Canada ICI’s mission to structure, place, and manage compelling mortgage solutions that meet the market — with the clarity, insight, and conviction that define the firm’s success from coast to coast.
