As a CFA and working toward becoming a Chartered Accountant, Ashish has had the chance to work in various industries, from equity research to investment management. Ashish was an equity research associate at Tegus before joining Canada ICI, where he covered the healthcare sector with a focus on devices and equipment. Before working for Tegus, he was employed by Oxane Partners, an independent valuer of structured credit instruments, where he had the chance to assist with various real estate underwriting deals.

I joined CICI because I wanted to work with a company that values its employee’s contributions and has clear plans of where it wants to be, along with having a solid work culture. Not only does Canada ICI have a positive reputation within the industry, but they are also seen as a forward-thinking organization. For those reasons, Canada ICI will be an exciting workplace where I will be empowered to be the best version of myself.

I like working in commercial real estate finance because commercial real estate finance involves the use of loans or other forms of financing to purchase, develop, or refinance commercial properties. It can include working with various stakeholders, such as developers, property owners, investors, and financial institutions. It can be a challenging and dynamic field that offers professional and personal growth opportunities.

If you ask about me my colleagues would say they would likely describe me as a person who is very grounded and unassuming yet always willing to lend a helping hand to those on the team. I am approachable and easy to talk to, and I am known for my willingness to assist others in any way I can. I am a team player who is always looking out for the best interests of the group, and I am dedicated to ensuring that everyone can work together effectively and efficiently. Overall, I am seen as a supportive and dependable team member who is highly valued for my positive attitude and helpful nature.

My strengths are effectively communicating and collaborating to achieve a common goal. I understand the importance of active listening, open-mindedness, and adaptability to work well within a team. My ability to pay attention to details allows me to catch any errors or inconsistencies in a project, ensuring that the final product is of the highest quality. Persistence will enable me to persist through challenges and setbacks, never losing sight of the end goal. This mindset allows me to tackle any task with enthusiasm and determination, never giving up until a solution is found.
