Steven Dionne
Director, Mortgage Origination
Bio
Steven’s professional career began in 2005 as a Paramedic for the City of Ottawa, but a tragic accident in 2010 led him to pivot into real estate investing and financing. His journey in financing began by helping homeowners as a residential mortgage broker. Now, as a director with Canada ICI, he specializes in commercial financing, focusing on CMHC-insured mortgages, and providing tailored financing solutions for a wide range of commercial real estate projects. This specialization seamlessly integrates with his extensive experience in property development and real estate investing.
Over the past 14 years, Steven has gone from humble beginnings to managing and financing multi-million dollar projects and subdivisions, particularly focusing on multi-family developments. His dual expertise in financing and development allows him to understand and meet the financial needs of developers and investors intimately, ensuring optimal outcomes and long-term success.
I joined CICI because it became apparent that my skillset in development could serve as a direct complement and asset in the commercial financing world. I’m very passionate about helping developers build more housing units economically and efficiently.
I believe the keys to success are hard work, humility, continuously learning/asking questions, and forming strong personal and business relationships.
What I find fascinating outside of the real estate world is the earth’s geological processes and how small our world is in relation to what we can see with the human eye. There is always more to the story and it appears vast and endless.
I am motivated by achieving success with integrity, accountability, hard work and always striving for win-win scenarios.
What I like most about working at CICI is my team and the support that comes with them. When you do business with me, you get the whole team and the resources of the entire company. It’s why we are a leader in commercial financing.
