Bio
Glenn has been involved in commercial real estate financing for the past 43 years as a lender, mortgage banker, and originator. During the mid-1980s, he held the National Manager of Mortgages role at the head office of a nationally focused trust company based in Halifax. He led a team of originators, appraisers, loan administrators, and funding staff, whereby he learned and participated in the company’s treasury function.
In 1990, Glenn co-founded a regional mortgage brokerage firm that quickly established its presence throughout Atlantic Canada. The firm’s success was further solidified when it secured an affiliation with a Winnipeg-based Mortgage Banking Firm, transforming it into a leading loan origination team within the region and building a robust portfolio of serviced loans for institutional investors.
In 2017, a large International real estate services company approached Glenn and his entire team. They joined forces to establish a formidable regional team of loan Originators and support management in expanding the National Debt Group’s presence in the Canadian debt market. Glenn’s deep understanding of real estate financing, extensive client and Lender relationships, and comprehensive risk management knowledge have served his long-term clients well over the years.
Glenn has been a guest panellist on several occasions at the Atlantic Real Estate Forum and has spoken at various functions over the years on the topic of commercial real estate financing within the Atlantic region. For the past 12 years, he has been a founding Board member of the Housing Trust of Nova Scotia, which has grown into the largest non-profit community housing provider in Nova Scotia.
