Bio
Since 2019, Mark has been actively engaged in commercial real estate in the Maritimes, building his own asset management company from the ground up. He has managed properties, raised investor capital, developed proprietary models to analyze investments, sourced off-market deals, and led rigorous feasibility studies on projects.
With the aim of being proficient at all levers of the deal cycle, Mark earned his MBA from Queen’s University, and went on to hold roles across the real estate lifecycle:
– Associate in a Canadian Big Five bank’s Real Estate Group
– Senior Consultant with a global Big Four advisory firm
– Development Senior Associate with one of the world’s largest commercial real estate services firms
Having sat in the investor, operator, banker, and consultant seats, Mark brings a rare 360-degree perspective to real estate as a Director of Mortgage Originations. He approaches capital advisory with a developer’s mindset. He prides himself on being an embedded capital strategist within his clients’ teams.
Mark also founded a national non-profit organization called Greater Love Canada, which serves people experiencing homelessness. He grew the organization coast to coast, with 300 volunteers nationwide. Mark has been recognized with the Red Cross Humanitarian of the Year, YMCA Peace Medal, and Top 4 Under 40 awards.
Mark specializes in securing financing for ground-up multi-unit residential projects across the Maritimes, with a particular focus on CMHC-insured loans. With experience in conventional and private financing, as well as equity placement, Mark has a comprehensive understanding of capital structuring. He also has experience advising on industrial, land, mixed-use, and special-purpose projects (including community centers, recreational facilities, healthcare facilities, childcare facilities, religious spaces, and more).

I like working in commercial real estate finance because it was the area I initially understood the least as an investor. I dedicated myself fully to learning the complexities of capital structures, through the lens of a real estate operator. Today, I help investors navigate financing with confidence.
