Mohammed Sufiyan

Bio

Sufiyan joined Canada ICI in March 2025 as a Mortgage Analyst, bringing with him a dynamic background in finance, real estate, and sales, which ultimately led him to find a career that merges these interests. He recently graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a degree in Finance. Prior to joining Canada ICI, Sufiyan built up various co-op experiences, completing one term as a Private Equity Analyst at MUFG Investor Services and another as a Real Estate Analyst at Turner Drake and Partners.

Sufiyan is one of the first analysts to join Canada ICI’s Halifax office and assists the Origination team with analyzing commercial mortgages. He is eager to make meaningful contributions to the deals he works on while also learning and growing as much as possible in the world of commercial real estate.

I joined Canada ICI because I was attracted to the opportunity it brought to learn about the commercial real estate industry from one of the best in the business. I saw it as the ideal place to further develop my skills and make meaningful connections and contributions.

I like working in commercial real estate because it is extremely dynamic and no two days and no deals are the same, each transaction brings unique challenges and learning opportunities.

I have my sights set on learning and growing as much as possible – developing a well-rounded understanding of the industry while also creating lasting relationships in the commercial real estate community.

My personal core values are first and foremost integrity and honesty in all my work. Secondly maintaining a positive outlook while also being prepared for any challenge that may arise. Finally, and most importantly, would be having humility and being kind and treating everyone with respect and kindness no matter what.

I believe the keys to success are being determined, being disciplined and hard work, day in and day out.
