Bio

Larry joined Canada ICI’s Calgary office in 2023 as a Mortgage Analyst. Before this, he worked as an engineer and researcher in the manufacturing industry, focusing on data analytics and modelling.

Larry’s familiarity with real estate comes from years of practical experience as an investor. He owns and manages a portfolio of residential real estate properties consisting of both long-term and short-term rentals. As a Mortgage Analyst, Larry underwrites deals to help structure commercial real estate loans.

I joined CICI because I understand and appreciate the value that great mortgage brokerages bring to real estate transactions. Because of this, I wanted to help other borrowers through the financing process and obtain funding for their projects.

I like working in commercial real estate finance because I get the opportunity to participate in and contribute to significant municipal projects in a meaningful way.

I believe the key to success is finding a balance between something that I’m good at, something that I’m interested in, and something that I believe is valuable to the world.

What I find fascinating is the multi-disciplinary thinking involved in transacting commercial real estate. Each property is like a separate business, and no two deals are exactly the same.

I am looking forward to learning more about the various asset classes in CRE and building a deeper relationship with borrowers, lenders and industry professionals.
