Thomas Marcantonio began his career in real estate in 1979 as a junior appraiser. Over the last 35 years, he went from mortgage officer and underwriter for a trust company to a managing broker in the 1990s with Edgecombe group. Then, he joined Canada ICI as a managing partner and oversaw the business development and management of the firm’s operations in Quebec.
In 2012, through a strategic partnership agreement with MCAP, he directed MCAP Commercial’s Quebec business activities and, in 2014, founded MFCI Capital. This real estate brokerage firm provided wide-ranging advice on financing and all aspects of commercial real estate projects.
In 2021, MFCI Capital merged with Canada ICI, and Thomas continues to lead the Canada ICI Montréal office as managing partner.
I believe the key to success are passion, competence, and hard work.
I am motivated by helping my clients and employees become successful.
My favourite part of my role is mentoring the next generation on the road to success.
What I find fascinating is the constant evolution of technology and how it shapes how we relate with one another and how we do business.
What I like the most about CICI is that it is a company that gives the originators the tools to be able to structure financing to meet the client’s needs, and the door is always wide open to creativity.
