Burke Welbourn
Mortgage Analyst
Bio
Burke began his career in commercial real estate through summer internships in brokerage, investment, and asset management, where he supported market research, leasing, and financial analyses across multiple asset classes while completing his Bachelor of Management at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Through these experiences, he developed a well-rounded understanding of the commercial real estate industry, with exposure to both the landlord and brokerage sides of the business.
Burke is eager to build a strong foundation in real estate finance, expand his professional network, and deliver high-quality work.
I joined CICI because of its reputation as a leading financing platform and the opportunity it provides to learn, gain hands-on experience across a variety of deals, and work with great people.
I like working in commercial real estate finance because it requires an understanding of every part of a deal, from the real estate itself to the financing and people involved, making it both challenging and interesting.
I believe the keys to success are curiosity, attention to detail, and building strong, long-term relationships.
I am motivated by my family, the people I surround myself with, and the opportunity to build my career within Calgary’s commercial real estate industry.
I am working towards obtaining my mortgage brokerage license and continuing to learn and develop within the industry.
