Alexia Ionescu completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. Throughout her studies, she developed a strong interest in financial analysis, real estate, and capital markets, and built a solid foundation in evaluating investments and understanding market dynamics.
Prior to joining the commercial real estate industry, Alexia gained experience in analytical and professional environments, where she supported research, financial analysis, and organizational initiatives. These experiences helped her develop strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced settings, and further strengthened her interest in pursuing a career in finance.
Alexia is excited to begin her career in commercial real estate and looks forward to continuing to build her expertise, developing relationships, and contributing to the team while adapting to an evolving market.
I joined CICI because of its strong presence in the Canadian commercial real estate landscape and the opportunity to begin my career in an environment with a highly experienced and collaborative team. I was drawn to the firm’s focus on market expertise, relationships, and delivering thoughtful solutions, which strongly resonate with me.
I like working in commercial real estate finance because of the complexity and nuance involved, which require an understanding of macro- and microeconomic conditions, legislation, and investor sentiment to evaluate opportunities effectively.
I believe the keys to success are maintaining a strong work ethic, staying curious, and having a positive attitude, as these contribute to both individual development and the collective success of a team.
I am motivated by the continuous desire to learn, improve, and take on new challenges. I believe learning does not stop after an undergraduate degree, but continues to evolve through experience.
