Ryan Pfriem

Bio

Ryan discovered his passion for finance and real estate through his contributions in actively managing a portion of the University of Alberta Endowment during his undergraduate studies, focusing on Canadian-listed equities in the Financials and Real Estate sectors.

Following graduation from the Alberta School of Business in 2024, his first year working in commercial mortgage origination provided foundational knowledge and broad insights for multiple facets of real estate finance, including various CMHC programs.

Ryan is eager to apply his analytical skillset and passion for asset management with the Canada ICI team to make a meaningful impact.

I joined CICI because the challenge of effective asset management at a fast-growing company with like-minded individuals presented an exciting opportunity.

I like working in commercial real estate finance because it allows me to apply my analytical skills to an asset class which is rapidly evolving and touches almost every component of the economy and daily life.

I believe the keys to success are persistence, open-mindedness, and the ability to adapt.

I am motivated by the opportunity to improve each day, knowing there is always more to learn.

I am working towards completion of my CFA designation, and fostering strong professional relationships with industry and Canada ICI colleagues.
