Bio
As VP, Finance, Jodi manages Canada ICI’s accounting department and aids in developing the company’s financial structure. This includes establishing accounting policies and procedures, enhancing internal control, and optimizing budgeting and financial reporting process. Before joining Canada ICI, she worked for other private companies and in public practice in a variety of capacities including review, audit, and both personal and corporate taxation.
I joined CICI because when in our first interaction, they were young and energetic. That gave me a sense of drive and excitement. I loved the professionalism of the executive team I met with and the prestigious reputation the company had.
I believe the keys to success are skill, discipline, determination and a lot of hard work.
Working at CICI has taught me that the workplace doesn’t always have to be serious and only about work; having fun is also important. If you are passionate about your job and enjoy the people you work with, you will love coming into work every day.
Before joining CICI, I was the controller of a green energy start-up in Vancouver, BC, that produced Biochar and Biocoal from Biomass waste using technology to displace fossil coal.
There are two things I like most about working at CICI: the people and the size. Canada ICI is big enough to have offices that span across Canada, but at the same time, it’s small enough that you can have a one-on-one directly with the CEO. It has a tight-knit family feel, which I love.
