Perll Ylagan

Junior Financial Accountant

Bio

Perll brings a diverse and impactful background in accounting, internal auditing, and financial administration to her role at Canada ICI.

With experience across the public and private sectors, she manages full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. Before joining Canada ICI, Perll streamlined financial processes in condominium management, improving client communication and optimizing accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.

Her career has a strong foundation in leadership and efficiency. Prior to moving to Canada, she held roles in provincial bus transportation and logistics, leading audits that resulted in significant cost reductions, process improvements, and digital transformation to boost efficiency and accountability. Earlier, Perll oversaw financial operations, including payroll and tax compliance, for foundations, businesses, and government programs under two senators, directly supporting community initiatives with measurable social impact.

I believe the keys to success are continuously learning and growing, maintaining integrity, adapting to change, collaborating as a team, and finding effective solutions to challenges.

I am motivated by the knowledge that my work directly contributes to the success of my team and the company. That sense of impact, coupled with inspiration from my family, continuously drives me to learn, adapt, and strengthen the value I bring to the team.

My strengths are attention to detail, reliability, and adaptability. These traits enable me to consistently deliver accurate work, streamline processes, and effectively support my colleagues, ensuring an efficient and positive team environment.

The best part of my day is the perfect escape: getting lost in my favorite shows, movies, or a good paperback novel.

What I find fascinating is that Canadian work culture is refreshingly less formal, focusing on first names rather than traditional titles like “Sir” or “Ma’am.”
